1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Is This AI: Deepfake Detector ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Is This AI is a mobile application that uses on-device machine learning to analyze images, text, and audio for the purpose of detecting AI-generated content. Detection results are probabilistic estimates, not definitive determinations.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

• False positives & false negatives: The App may flag human-created content as AI-generated, or fail to detect AI-generated content. Neither outcome should be treated as conclusive.
• Image quality: Low-resolution, heavily compressed, watermarked, or edited images may produce unreliable results.
• Audio conditions: Background noise, low recording quality, non-English speech, very short clips (<3 seconds), or mixed human/AI audio may reduce accuracy.
• Text length & style: Very short texts (<100 words), code, poetry, non-English content, or heavily edited AI text may not be reliably classified.
• Evolving AI technology: AI-generation techniques advance rapidly. Models trained on older AI content may not detect the latest AI systems with the same accuracy.
• Language & cultural context: Detection accuracy is highest for standard English prose and may degrade for other languages, dialects, or specialized domains.
• Not for high-stakes decisions: Results must not be used as the sole basis for academic integrity judgments, legal proceedings, employment decisions, or any action that may significantly affect a person.

We make no warranty — express or implied — that detection results are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Always apply independent judgment when interpreting results.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the App for personal, educational, and professional purposes including:

• Checking your own content before submission
• Researching AI-generated content patterns
• Personal curiosity and learning

5. Prohibited Use

You may not use the App to:

• Harass, defame, or make false accusations against individuals
• Violate the privacy rights of others
• Circumvent or reverse-engineer the App's ML models
• Use results as evidence in legal proceedings without independent verification
• Violate any applicable law or regulation

6. Subscription and Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases ("Premium") that unlock additional features including unlimited scans.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law
• Prices are subject to change with notice

7. Intellectual Property

All content, models, designs, and code in the App are owned by Is This AI or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Is This AI and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on detection results.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
